Are your classes hands-on or demonstration?
Our classes are a combination of hands-on and demonstration classes. With our new kitchens, we have seating at the counter for those who prefer to relax and watch the cooking while right behind them we now have cook stations complete with induction burners, cookware, knives and all the tools necessary to prepare the meal yourself. You can also search our website for the type of class you are looking for - hands-on or demonstration.
Where are you located?
Our classes take place in our new 4,000 square foot teaching kitchens on beautiful Solomons Island, Maryland.
We would like to arrange a private class? Can we do that?
We offer private classes all the time. And because it’s just for you – the topic can be about anything you like. If you want to learn better knife skills while making Spanish tapas, we can do that. It’s all about you!
Can we bring our own wine?
Because we have our own liquor license, the State of Maryland does not permit you to bring your own alcohol. But we do have a beautiful bar and a wonderful selection of beers and wines to choose from.
What is dress like for your classes?
We are very casual – no need to get dressed up, unless you want to!
Can you accommodate special dietary needs?
Absolutely! Just let us know when you sign up for a class so chef can make the necessary adjustments to the menu. We do this all the time. 🙂
What is the cost for a couples class?
Couples classes are $65/person with optional beverage pairings for an additional $15/person.
Do you have to be a couple to attend a couples class?
No you do not! Occasionally we have have friends/relatives come together. There’s no rule you have to be a couple.
How do your kids classes work?
Our Junior Chef classes are designed for kids ages 8-13 years old. They are hands-on. Parents are allowed to stay and watch - just watch! And you do not need to purchase a ticket in order to stay and watch.
How many people can you have in a class?
For a hands-on class, we can easily accommodate 16 people. For a demonstration class, 30 people.
What is your booking & cancellation policy?
Classes must be paid in full when booking to secure the date. All menus for private classes must be finalized no later than 10 days before the class. We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. If you need to cancel a class, you must do so 7 days prior to the class. We will either give you a full refund or apply the fee to another class. No refund will be made for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the class. Your tuition can however be applied to a future class.
